I had been distraught at the notion that future Snicket books would all have movie at as the covers, instead of Hilquest illustrations as God and Handler intended. But, seeing this I suddenly think I might have to gab copies for the spinning bookshelf. Movie adaptations are favored by the villain? No shit!

Everyone loves ponies. And everyone loves parties. Therefore, everyone must love Pony Parties!

Yes, shocked, if they changed the covers for future books to movie tie-in photos. I bring up the example of Harry Potter. Sure, I haven't seen any movie covers but there are pocket editions. Meanwhile, the artwork for the hardcover and first run paperbacks are true to the original vision. I'm sure Herr Hilquest will see the story to its conclusion.

My thought is I woudn't actually mind an entire series of "movie editions" if they had not only screen caps (from the appropiate film) but plenty of jacket text that reminds kids that "only evil people prefer movies over books."

Ok, I've been to Target. The Olaf covers go over the standard hilquest hardback editions, creating a package not unlike the aofrementioned Pony Party.

I am a HUGE Lemony Snicket fan. I am so glad I got all the books before the movie came out and have all the original cover art, instead of Jim Carey's face. But I still cant wait for the movie, am hoping they will have a midnight show at the place where I saw all the HP midnight shows and LOR midnight shows.

BTW: cant wait to see you guys at your east coast reception. CONGRATS!!
